Abstract
Abstract: Arguments are brought in favor of the universality of the language paradigm. In this respect, it is essential to take in consideration the fact that language is at the crossroad of linguistics, semiotics, biology, psychology, psychiatry, logic, art, literature, information and communication theory, computer science, artificial intelligence etc. The history of the slogan “linguistics as a pilot science” is analyzed and arguments are brought in favor of its replacement with the slogan in the title above.
